Creamy Tomato Soup

Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil

,

1 onion, cut into slices

,

2 tablespoons flour

,

1 teaspoon salt

¾ teaspoon Italian seasoning

,

¼ teaspoon black pepper

, ,

2 cups canned crushed tomatoes in tomato puree

Lactaid 2% Reduced Fat Milk Front of Package

LACTAID® Reduced Fat 2% Lactose-Free Milk


Directions

1.

In a 2 ½-quart saucepan, heat olive oil and sauté onions until golden, about 5 minutes.

Whisk in flour, salt, Italian seasoning and pepper. Cook until flour is absorbed, about 2-5 minutes.

3.

Slowly add LACTAID® Fat-Free Lactose-Free Milk and tomatoes, stirring constantly, heat just to boiling. Simmer for 5 minutes.

4.

If desired, blend smooth using either an immersion blender or an electric blender.

5.

Serve warm.
